Betty Jean's BBQ

The brisket was super soft and moist! Nice crispy outer layer with a little bit of fat perfectly juicy! The sausage is decent. The ribs were amazing!!! Fatty but amazing!! I really wanted to like this place! And I'm so glad I do! Their BBQ sauce could go better but the meat is good enough that you don't really miss it! I tried the grandma's special 3 meat combo and the beef and pulled pork burger. Both were amazing! The sides were nice too. Loved the hush puppies. The corn can do better. Very satisfied. I'm going back very soon! Their meats are MUCH better than outlaw which everyone in Spokane recommends. But I've tried outlaw 4 times and been disappointed every time! We reached 7:40 and they close at 8 (even on the weekends)...But they made us feel welcome and did not rush us. We were out before 8:10.

First customers in the door today. My mom just flew in from North Carolina and we had to go here. I had the pulled pork, so yummy ! The best part for me though, HUSH PUPPIES !!! I wonder if they're available by the dozen ?

Dined in. Order at the counter then seated ourselves. Super friendly staff, very helpful with menu and making suggestions. Once seated staff checked on us to make,sure we had everything we wanted. We ordered the Wilson, pulled BBQ chicken sandwich with 2 sides fries and corn. Large portions served so you won't go away hungry. For the BBQ this Carolina sauce has a spicy afterburn. Liked the fries with seasoning salt and not greasy. Corn had pepper, not my favorite, but hubby loved it! Loved what they did with the interior of the old Thai Bamboo location on 29th South Hill. Clean and refreshed! If you love Southern BBQ you will love Betty Jeans and you will support a veteran owned business. Great family dining experience! Give it a try. We will be back.
